Statement Coffee
Statement Coffee was a project I completed in my first semester of my first year at Falmouth University. The purpose of this project was to create a new drink or design new packaging for a drink based on a word that describes someone. My chosen word was materialistic - someone is obsessed with money and expensive things, and they believe that they over power everyone else. I designed coffee cups that had bold statements on them, suggesting that the coffee that is being consumed is better than everyone else's, when actually it is just standard instant coffee.
The bottom of the coffee cups twist, which reveal compartements that contain the sugar and milk sachets for the coffee, which adds more emphasis on the fact that the coffee is better than everyone else's.
I also designed a 'coffee cup holder for one'. This makes the person who is drinking the coffee seem like they are better than other people around them.
